Birthday School Treat

Today is my son’s birthday. It’s amazing how time flies. It’s still hard to believe that I have a 5 year-old son. A  5 year-old son who woke up extra early today (of course) screaming that he’s 5!

For his special day, he gets  to bring a “healthy” treat to school. Ben’s been requesting chocolate-covered strawberries since last month for his birthday school treat. Hey, it’s healthy…healthy covered in dark and white chocolate (ha!).

It’s an easy treat to make since you can make it the day before. As you already may know, I’m not for rushing in the mornings.

For presentation, I used an acrylic tray lined with some cute alphabet paper I found at Michael’s.

I truly believe that children are a proof from God: A proof of His existence, and of His love. Children are his way of showing us how much love he has instilled in each human being. A special love that is only unleashed when you are blessed with a child.

And to think that the love I have for my child is probably 1/1000th of love He has for me…it’s almost impossible to understand that overwhelming kind of love.
