School Lunches
Happy Thursday! I wanted to do a quick post today.
My son started kindergarten in the fall. He absolutely loves his teachers, friends and learning new things everyday. It’s been a new routine for me as well. Now that he’s in school full day, I’ve been packing lunches for him, and having fun doing it. I thought I would kind of dread doing this but really am enjoying making something new everyday. I’ve heard of hardcore mamas who get up at 5am to start making lunches for their kiddies. Man, I give props to those mamas ‘cuz this mama ain’t wired for that! So I pack all his lunches the day before and just heat them up in the morning, if needed.
I’ve been posting photos of school lunches on my instagram account @fathersworkshop. (Follow me to see daily packed lunches.) I don’t use too many gadgets when packing lunches. I like to keep things simple. I have a few cookie cutters I use occasionally but I keep it to a minimal. Plus, I don’t have any room in my small kitchen to store all those fancy gadgets. I mostly use wooden skewers. Fancy, eh? For containers I use easylunchboxes and lunchbots. I also use the lunch carrier that goes with the easylunchboxes. I love it because it keeps the lunch box upright which keeps the lunch stay pretty. Here are some lunch ideas. I’ll be posting more in the future so please check back or follow me on Instagram @fathersworkshop. Happy lunching!
Love the skewer idea! Your lunches for your kid look great! No need for fancy tools or 5am alarm clocks 🙂
thank you so much!
