school snacks
I have a four year old son who is the sweetest can be. He brings me laughter and joy, and I feel so blessed that God has assigned me to be his mother. Don’t get me wrong, he has his moments. Like this morning, when I actually had to spoon-feed him his cereal because he has a hate-relationship with milk. That’s a whole another story that I’ll get into later. But what he does love is snacks, I mean who doesn’t (grown-ups included)? I get a few opportunities a year to bring healthy snacks for his preschool. I can’t wait until the school year to start in the fall, not because, ahem, I’ll get some “me” time back, but because of the snacks and other goodies I get to make for his class. Here are a few things I made in the past year.
Yum! And beautiful to look at! How did you make the “pumpkins”?
it’s super easy!
1) whip cream cheese with grated carrots
2) roll into balls
3) roll the balls in more grated carrots
4) insert small piece of pretzel on top
that’s it!
