tomato salad

I love summer. Not for the weather, actually I can do without the 100+ degree weather we get here sometimes, but I love summer for the succulent stone fruits, flavor-rich berries, and of course, heirloom tomatoes. I feel like they are God’s gift to mankind. Well, that and chocolate…and Ryan Gosling, hehe. We grew some sweet cherry tomatoes this year but I really want to plant some heirloom tomatoes next year. Not just because they are oh-so-delicious but I actually paid $8 for 3 organic heirlooms tomatoes. I guess it’s a small price to pay for such beautiful fruit, both visually and in flavor.

I had this tomato salad for dinner tonight. So simple no recipe is needed. Tomatoes, avocado, salt, pepper and olive oil.
