Teacher Appreciation Week 2014 (Free Printable)
This coming week is Teacher Appreciation Week. My son has been blessed with more than wonderful teachers. They care so much for all the children in the class. I appreciate their gentleness and patience they have for them. And let’s face it, I often don’t have them toward mine :). I’m sure going to miss the security of preschool once my son enters “real school” in the fall. I only pray and hope that he’ll be matched up with teachers who are just as nurturing and loving.
Although I thank them all the time, this week is the “official” week to thank them for all the time and effort they put into being better teachers so that our kids can be thrive. Last year, I made them nutella peanut butter cookies. I know, they ARE delicious as they sound. This year, I decided to stick with a cookie theme and am going to make the Pioneer Woman’s malted chocolate chip cookies. And yes, these are ALSO as delicious as they sound. They’re thin and crispy on the edges while still gooey in the middle. Yum. I want some now.
I made a simple cute letter bag for the cookies with a pencil enclosure.
Letter Bag with Pencil Enclosure
You need:
5″ x 7.5″ paper sandwich bag (kraft bag will also work)
Pencil
Xacto knife
Ruler
Directions:
Download the Letter Bag template. Export as PDF file (under File). Print on sandwich bag (I set my paper size at 5″ x 7″ when printing).
Using a ruler and xacto knife, make 2 slits for the pencil insert.
(Optional: Cut off the top of the bag for a cleaner look.)
Fill with goodies of your choice.
Insert the pencil through the slits.
All done!
